The Anderson family approached us in 2021 with a view to constructing two separate garden rooms.
After spending much more time at home during the pandemic, they wanted to make the most of their large outdoor space.
What types of garden room were required?
The first garden room the Andersons requested was to function as a bar and entertainment area.
The clients intended to use the second room as a home gym.
What were our garden room solutions?
The garden bar
For the bar, Urban Spaces constructed a 9m x 3.5m garden room on a concrete base. Siberian larch cladding added a stunning finish.
We constructed 3m anthracite bi-folding doors to provide access, with matching anthracite windows and fascias to complete the look.
We added a vapour barrier and Firestone rubber roof to protect the garden bar from the elements. This meant that the Andersons could enjoy their drinks in all weathers.
Urban Spaces finished this garden bar by fully plastering the interior, and provided a full electrical package, so the entertainment could get underway immediately.
The garden gym
We constructed the garden gym on a concrete base in a similar manner to the bar. When complete, the gym room measured measured 4m x 3.5m.
This garden room also benefited from attractive Siberian larch cladding, a Firestone rubber roof and vapour barrier.
We installed 2.9m anthracite sliding doors, with anthracite windows and fascias to match.
Again, Urban Spaces fully plastered the room and provided a full electrical package.
What were the results?
These rooms were used extensively during the pandemic, when socialising and going to the gym were out of the question.
The Andersons continue to make great use of their garden rooms – only now they can have their friends over to watch the game in their garden bar, too!
