The Blackeley family first contacted Urban Spaces early in 2022 with a view to constructing a garden room in Leyland. They needed the garden room to add some much needed extra space to their property.

What type of garden room did the client require?

The Blackeley’s wanted a stylish garden room that they could use as an area for recreation and entertainment.

Urban Spaces were, of course, happy to oblige. We set to work creating a stunning garden room to meet their needs.

What was our solution?

We constructed a rectangular garden room on a concrete base for The Blackeleys, measuring 4.8m by 3.5m.

Next, we added Siberian larch cladding to the exterior of this garden room. Siberian larch is an extremely durable and cost-effective timber. It is also very pleasing to the eye, making it an ideal solution for projects such as this.

The client chose to pair anthracite French doors with matching fascias and a floor-to-ceiling top-opening window to complete this sophisticated look.

Urban Spaces installed a vapour barrier and a Firestone rubber roof. This ensured that the Blackeleys new garden room was protected from the elements.

Finally, we put the finishing touches to this project by fully plastering the interior walls of the garden room. We also provided a full electrical package, so the entertainment could commence immediately!
